There is so much information out there to help you to live more sustainably. Here are some resources which we have found useful.

Action Surrey

Action Surrey offers free impartial energy advice including about available grants. Set up by local councils across Surrey as well as Surrey County Council.

Green Redeem

Green Redeem is a free scheme available to anyone living in Surrey that offers a range of rewards for reducing waste. Sign up online to access a range of activities and resources to make small yet impactful lifestyle changes.


Wisley has lots of ideas and advice on their website and in their garden for ways to garden more sustainably.

Plant-based meals

If you are looking for an easy way to increase your plant-based meals, Meatless Monday is a simple idea with lots of recipes and tips.


Food waste

Discover some simple hacks, tips and guidance to make the most of your food at home and reduce waste.


If you don't know about Freecycle, it is a great way to give away items to local people via a free website. You can also pick up items which you may need.

Where to recycle

The Recycle Now website has lots of tips for recycling including a local search to find where to recycle an item. You can also download an app

Local Zero Waste shops

There are two local Zero Waste shops where you can take your containers to refill them with dry foods or your bottles to fill with shampoo, laundry liquid etc.
