Our Future Surrey Pledge
We are proud to endorse #OurFutureSurreyPledge — a campaign to secure public commitments from local election candidates on the issues that matter most to Surrey residents.
We joined the campaign because we believe the May 2026 local elections offer a rare and real opportunity to shape what the new councillors prioritise from day one: lower energy bills, transport, nature, community.
Join us! Read the pledge and find out how to get involved: ourfuturesurrey.org
Let’s safeguard Surrey now and for future generations!

Take the JUMP
The JUMP is a joyous, grassroots movement working to inspire and empower individuals and groups to act on climate change: specifically to 'take the JUMP' by trying 6 shifts to protect our planet. These shifts have been identified through research as the most impactful changes in behaviour which individuals can make. They have also been identified as the level of change required to avoid climate breakdown. Have a go on your own or get a group of friends together to take the challenge for 1, 3 or 6 months.
Take part
The repair cafe is a great project to get involved with. Bring along your damaged household items or clothing for repair; have a chat and a bite to eat in the cafe or join us as a repairer or a welcomer.
If the repair cafe doesn't sound like your thing, we need volunteers for other projects such as Plastic Free Oxshott and the sustainable gardening initiative. Please get in touch!
Invite us to speak
Gather a group of friends together over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and we will come and talk to you about Take the JUMP or about one of our other projects. Or invite us to come and speak to your group or club.
We run occasional talks around Oxshott. Keep an eye out for what's on or check local magazines for details.
Funding
We are grateful to have received a grant from Councillor Mark Sugdon to support our launch event in April 2023 and further grants from Surrey Climate Commission, Elmbridge Borough Council and a private donation to support our work. Any profits from the Repair Cafe will be ploughed back into other Oxshott Net Zero projects (the Repair Cafe has not yet reached this position). If you would like to make a donation, please use the button below.
